A video of a tour of the fire lab can be viewed here A photograph of a compartment fire experiment in the fire lab can be seen here The fire lab is a 2000 square feet space with 400 square feet located directly under a large hood. The hood is 20 feet above the floor and has a capacity of 70,000 cfm. A two storey structure can be burned underneath the hood (6 MW) A video tour of the combustion lab can be viewed here Demonstrations Demonstrations for middle school and high school groups are avaliable. These demonstrations can last between 10 minutes to 45 minutes. Information Sessions The student chapter of the Society of Fire protection Engineering does periodic information seshions for undecided majors who might be interested in Fire Protection Engineering.
